I have a weird thing going on from time to time, an item in my system's tray pops up to do with wireless connection problem. I'm not using a wireless connection.
However, about 2 years ago when I first purchased this computer, I did have a wireless Net Gear card installed, but it didn't work out. So I went back to the use of my ISP modem which is a SW1000/Gateway 2-wire model. So why would this thing be popping up in my system's tray? I just clicked on it for curiosity and was given 4 options... windows firewall settings wireless connection... repair... wireless network connections... I am using AVG pro version 7.50 which has it's own firewall. I went to the one in the list for windows firewall, and it is turned off. Which I believe it's suppose to be since I use AVG. So how can I get rid of this wireless thing for good? I have a HP Pavilion desktop running window's media 2005 and Jaws 8.0 Thanks, Patricia Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/BlindComputing.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
