If you are not planning to use the wireless connection, go into the
control panel and disable or remove any reference to the wireless NIC
(network connections).

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Wireless Network Question

I have a weird thing going on from time to time, an item in my system's
tray
pops up to do with wireless connection problem.
I'm not using a wireless connection.

However, about 2 years ago when I first purchased this computer, I did
have
a wireless Net Gear card installed, but it didn't work out.
So I went back to the use of my ISP modem which is a SW1000/Gateway
2-wire
model. So why would this thing be popping up in my system's tray?

I just clicked on it for curiosity and was given 4 options...

windows firewall settings
wireless connection...
repair...
wireless network connections...

I am using AVG pro version 7.50 which has it's own firewall. I went to
the
one in the list for windows firewall, and it is turned off. Which I
believe
it's suppose to be since I use AVG.

So how can I get rid of this wireless thing for good?

I have a HP Pavilion desktop running window's media 2005 and Jaws 8.0

Thanks,

Patricia
