Yes, but can you actually see them in that dialogue?
If so, if you then go to the file menu, maybe you can actually export them
from there etc.?

hi no it doesn't seem to make that much difference since in my main
identity I have 1165 contacts and the rest in the other identity are my

Well then, the only thing I can think of is that identity switching
someone else mentioned.
If you hit Ctrl + Shift + B, and then shift tab in that address book
dialogue, how many identities does it have there, and does it make any
difference if you select different ones, or shared ones?

Yes, but if you open up that other dialogue, do you see anything in
that list?
It's a different area/dialogue apart from normally just tabbing around
the main window, so was just wondering.

You could try playing around with the File menu, Export option and
see if you can at least get a text file version or something, but
it's a bit strange.
If you just try adding an entry to the address book in outlook
express, does it then appear or is it also hidden? If that's the
case, it might be necessary to try repair outlook express etc.
One final thing which might not be relevant at all is that are you
sure your windows are maximised, and have you tried at least
something like running narrator to see what it says in case it's only
your screenreader that has the problems?

hi Maria and all. My address book has also disappeared. it has
been gone for the past few months. I can still bring it up with
control shift b and arrow up and down but I liked to be able to
tab in to it using jaws. now when I tab in to it all jaws says is
0 items or there are no names to display. but on the other hand
when I go to write to some one it fills in the address still. so
it is still there but just not showing up. if any one can help
that would be grate. I am using xp and sp2. from Mich Verrier.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] My lost address book
Yesterday I was able to tab between my list of email folders, my
messages and my address book of contacts .
Today my address book has disappeared from that tabbable list.
I can still bring it up with control shift B, but it's not in the
tab order.
I'm using Xp and Outlook Express.
Any ideas how to bring my address book out in the open again?
Thanks.
