This is not true!  I have uninstalled windows messenger from 2 of my 3
computers.  Just go to the control panel, select uninstall or remove a
program, once your in the list arrow all the way down until you get to
windows messenger.  Then push the applications key, and it will say repair
or remove.  Of course you want to say remove.  If your running vista then it
will ask you for permission, if your running XP, it wil proceed to uninstall
the program.  Hope this helps.  If you have anymore questions my info is

You can not uninstall Windows Messenger from your PC and/or laptop since it 
is part of Windows. However, you can disable it if you wish. And if you'd 
like to create a password, Go to your CTRL pannel and sellect user accounts
