Windows Messenger isn't even under Vista, and this is in fact not the way to
remove Messenger. I'll get off my soapbox now before I start a flame.

This is not true! I have uninstalled windows messenger from 2 of my 3
computers. Just go to the control panel, select uninstall or remove a
program, once your in the list arrow all the way down until you get to
windows messenger. Then push the applications key, and it will say repair
or remove. Of course you want to say remove. If your running vista then
it
will ask you for permission, if your running XP, it wil proceed to
uninstall
the program. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions my info is
listed below.

Marianne,
You can not uninstall Windows Messenger from your PC and/or laptop since
it
is part of Windows. However, you can disable it if you wish. And if you'd
like to create a password, Go to your CTRL pannel and sellect user
accounts
and choose your name. Then find the the create password link. HTH. Your
brother in Christ,
Lino Morales and Louie Lab
