As far as I am aware the only useful way to use the stream is with an SD card. The SD card holds the folder structure which allows the storing of different categories of files. These are Music, Notes another word for your recordings, Text Files ,digital Talking Books, Other books and Podcasts. If you connect to the Audible site there will be an Audible Folder created as well.
, It is a bit odd that a Stream is provided without an SD card . If you have to buy a SD Card I recommend the Kingston cards. I and other people I know have had problems getting cheaper SD cards recognised in the Stream. Nobody as far as I am aware has had a problem with Kingston. I think Humanware recommend them as well.
