I think you need to have internet capability before you can do it. My grandson
put in my email address and sent me one. I guess I will call him and ask him
more about it if you want to know more.

Thanks for finding the updated list of addresses.

Yes, this works. The only problem I've had with this is that it is one way,
from e-mail to cell text message receive. Has anyone gotten it to work from
  text message to e-mail account?

I have researched this on Google as I had never heard of this capacity to
  send text messages via email.

The following page appears to be very useful though I have not tried it yet.

  Hi Larry,

To do this, you have to find out what the extension is for the person you
  are calling.

For example, for me, to send me a text message, one would send it to the
  following number:

  my cell phone [email protected]

That address would go into the to: field of the message.

When sending a text message, remember to place the message in the subject
line, not in the body of the message.

You don't place anything in the body of the message, only in the subject
  line.

  Hope this helps.

Remember, you'll have to call who ever it is you want to send the message
to, or their carrier, to find out the extension, as it's not always the same

  for all carriers.
