David

I tried sending myself a text message on my N-82 which I have pay as you go
AT&T service. I got the message on my phone almost instantly but when I
went to reply I have not seen anything back in my inbox on the computer.
Just a FYI

Al

I have researched this on Google as I had never heard of this capacity to
send text messages via email.

The following page appears to be very useful though I have not tried it yet.

Hi Larry,

To do this, you have to find out what the extension is for the person you
are calling.

For example, for me, to send me a text message, one would send it to the
following number:

my cell phone [email protected]

That address would go into the to: field of the message.

When sending a text message, remember to place the message in the subject
line, not in the body of the message.

You don't place anything in the body of the message, only in the subject
line.

Hope this helps.

Remember, you'll have to call who ever it is you want to send the message
to, or their carrier, to find out the extension, as it's not always the same

for all carriers.
