I ran this with the latest definition update which was 03/10/09 the
other day. However, for some reason, the download takes too much
time whereas a few months ago, the download was quick as usual.
Based on the date of the definition, I am assuming that Lavasoft is
still providing the latest definition for manual updates.

if your wanting to use add-aware,
you'll need to update the program manually.
although, I'm not even sure if, there's updates available for,
ad-aware 1.6 or what ever it is.
you can download, super anti spyware from;
www.superantisoftware.com
this program does not require any scripts, it runs fine right out
of the box.
there's a paid and, free versions.
you can also download, spybot.
I believe there is scripts for that program.

I had that old program Adaware on here and the jaws scripts in
place as well. But trying to update the ref defs the page cannot
be found is what's going on so can't update that to run the program.
Did they take it down or do you know?

Hi Patricia,
This error means that you have to run a registry cleaner on
your system, as
well as running some spyware scans on it.
Once you do this, the error should go away.
I've gotten this error a few times, and once I did a Google
search for the
error, that is what was suggested.
It did work, so try that and let us know.
