Just turn it off when it's not being used for a few hours. So what if it
takes a little longer to start up? At least it will come up and running. I
have had occasional problems bringing my hefty Dell workstation out of
standby mode, so I prefer to completely shut it down at night or whenever I
won't be using it for a few hours. And don't even get me started about
hibernate mode.

I know that with a previous Laptop I had, it did that. That Laptop ended
up breaking. I think it was because I used to let it sit there unattended
too much. My best recommendation is, when you are not using your
computer, turn it off.

My Del laptop has started doing something similar to this. Sometimes

I have walked away from my laptop it will go to sleep, hibernate,

or something. Most times when I return to my laptop all I need to do is

the down arrow and press enter and I'm back in. There are other times

nothing will get it to come back on except for holding down the power

Hannah put her Vista laptop to sleep. When she woke it up the entire
