Hi Elaine, Just a guess here but this has fixed strange things like when Outlook would open 2 copies of itself for no apparent reason. Try going to tools, options, control tabbing to Mail setup, tab to and spacebar on datafiles, tab to and spacebar on settings, tab to and spacebar on compact now and wait for it to complete, a few escapes will close the dialogs or you can tab to all the ok buttons.
