I've used MS-Word to make greeting cards before. I've use regular printer
paper , or you can get other paper that is 8.5x11. I go into the page
settings and change the following:

Margins to .5 or .25
Multiple pages to book fold.
Changing the paper orientation will depend if you want the fold of the card
to be on top or on the left. Unfortunately, it has been so long since I've
done this, I cannot remember If landscape gives you the fold on the left
side, or on top. You will have to experiment.

As I make the card, I treat page 1 as the front of the card, page 2 as the
left page of the inside of the card, page 3 as the right side of the inside
of the card, and page 4 as the back of the card.

When you go to print, Word will take care of printing the pages in the
correct order. If you want the card to be made of one piece of paper, you
will need to figure out what direction to put the paper back into the
printer to print the other side. Sometimes I just print on 2 sheets, and
some how attach the pages together so that the blank sides are facing each
other, and the writing is facing out. I've used colored tape around the
edges to hold the pages together, placed yarn or ribbon threaded through
various patterns of holes around the edges, or tied around the fold of the
pages or just tied in a bow in 2 or four corners of the card. A few dots of
glue might work also.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] making greeting cards using microsoft word

Hi, everyone,

I asked about how to make your own greeting cards using microsoft word on
another list but got no answer. Is there a special program you can use that
works well with Jaws? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.
Rosemarie
