Since I do not have a Mac yet, I am no expert. The Changes to Snow Leopard just came out last week and accessible iPod Touch software just came out yesterday I think. I have not looked into Braille. I am not able to read Braille, the sensitivity in my remaining fingers is too limited. My sister who teaches Braille tried to teach me. I am sure that Open Book would work in an emulation window if needed. Those are great questions. As I keep considering a Mac, I will be looking to see if there are Mac only solutions. I also had an Unix background and love the idea of sed, awk, grep pearl and shell scripting being available. My daughter wants to attend an Art / Film school where a Mac laptop is included in the tuition.
