411 service is what we in the US call for telephone information.

I became a Magic Jack subscriber in April of 2009, I think it was. On the
site there is a list of area codes which are available. They keep saying
they will add new ones. There is also a free conference line. I don't
believe many can conference. I haven't attempted a conference. But not
many can subscribe to a skype conference. Skype is at least just as good if
not poorer than Magic Jack, and it costs more too. When I first got Magic
Jack A T & T was my carrier. I didn't know you could get a dry loop
connection. This is a connection whereby you can only use it for internet
service. Someone told me this. I got one. No thanks to A T & T. Now A T
& T are advertising the dry loop service. This is why I have little trust
in service providers. Because they only tell you what they want you to hear
or want you to purchase. You can take Magic Jack anywhere with you and make
calls using your number. This might also be an advantage. You can get free
411 service through 1-800-free 411, call waiting, and call forwarding, and a
voice mail box. If your computer is off calls will automatically go to the
voice mail box. Any voice mail message will be sent to your e-mail inbox as
a wav attachment for saving. While the duplicate message can be deleted
from the Magic Jack voice mail box. A log of the calls and the times they
were received is also kept within the program. 911 service. is also
provided. Though Magic Jack does advise you use another phone for this
service. I have never used 911 service with Magic Jack. I have a very good
cell service and an extra battery for the cell phone which is always kept
full should the computer be down for a time for repair or if electricity
should flag.

Hi Angel! Congradulatlions as I too have joined Magic for the second time
would you believe! About a year ago I joined but wasn't told that they
couldn't give me my Toronto area code so I phoned and phoned but no luck as
all I I ever got was, 'sorry but can't get into the whole area of Canada;
So I thought, "hmmmmmm, what do I do now realizing of corse, that I could
still phone all of the States and Canada tole fdree. anyways, I finally
decided that I'd order again and as soon as I did in a few hours, they,
*magicjack* gave me a local code! Wow! Finally I will be able to recieve
local toronto area calls of my friends in Toronto. Here in Canada, we
have a counsel wich decides wether or not any other phone companies can
access the local telephone lines. for communication. Can you imagine the
hell that other phone companies will try to do to Magicjack? Please let me
know how your local phone people treated you when you told them that anoter
phone company is much much cheaper? Grin; Please write and let me know just
how you feel in general about this marvelous service? Ken Bs

I don't have a land line, and will never have a land line again. I use
Magic Jack exclusively. I pay 20 dollars annually for Magic Jack, and 20
dollars monthly for broad band DSL service. I love Magic Jack. For it's
cost one can't beat the value. though there will be those who will disagree
surely.

hello mark
i have an internet calls provider
they are called Vonage
and it costs me £7.99 a month
for this i get unlimited talk time in the UK with no need to hang up within
an hour and redial.
i also get 33 hours worth of talk time to 35 European countries a month
and no bill statements as it is all taken care of online.
i get an email once a month to tell me the transaction was successfully
carried out and that the amount for the month left my card.
here in the UK we have features like call waiting, 1471, anonymous call
rejection voice mail and a few other that i cant think of right now.
BT charge each month for these but with Vonage they come as standard with no
charge to use them
the only thing i would pay for is the diversion part if i have my calls
diverted to another number.

Hi
I bought Magic Jack and have mixed results. Most of the time it works
great. However, occasionally there is a delay between what one says and what
the other person hears. Then if one is having a long conversation such as I
do with my girlfriend, it will eventually take a syllable that she says and
keep repeating it to me. On her end there is a clicking noise and it hangs
up on her. All though this is annoying I have had relatively good success
with the magic jack.

Hi;

Does anyone use Magic Jack with Jaws as their phone service? If so how well
does it work?

I am completely unfamiliar with these programs but if I was in your position
I would look for an option to "display scanner driver" or display scanner
properties" in this program's settings. If this succeeds then the scanner
driver will appear before the scanning takes place and you can ensure that
duplex is set before the scan results are sent back to your OCR program. I
cannot guarantee that this will work but it works with other OCR programs
like Microsoft document Scanning to deliver duplex scanning. You could try
Microsoft Document scanning anyway with your scanner as the OCR is
excellent.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] How to Move to new scanning program

Hi
I am having troubles getting my vista home addition to switch to new
scanning/OCR software. I was using read iris 11 and decided to upgrade to
read iris 12. Some how in the process the computer decided that I only want
to use the OCR software in single sided scans. I have a scanner that scans
both sides of the paper at a time. I can do a double sided scan using the
software that came with the scanner but the OCR is terrible.
So, I decided to switch to Text Cloner Pro. The problem is that it is
only scanning one side of the page at a time also. It gives me a message
saying that it cannot find a particular read iris file. I removed read Iris
and so I wonder why it is looking for this file? How do I get Text cloner
pro to figure out that it can scan in double sided mode?
    I appreciate any ideas.

God bless,
Mark
