His homepage might be currently/temporarily off line as such.

If he can, for example, type in www.google.com and hit enter and get there, then it's the specific website, and not his connection as such.

Hi, everyone,

A friend of mine is having trouble trying to get to his home page in internet explorer 7. The message he's getting is "internet explorer cannot display the page" or something like that. I told him to try hitting alt home because that usually fixes the problem for me. It didn't work for my friend. He even tried unplugging and plugging in his modem and that didn't work. Is there a setting he might have to change in internet explorer?

Any help will be very much appreciated.
