You'll need the Windows XP CD-ROM. Insert that, restart the computer, and, with a pair of eyeballs, ask them to repair the existing installation. It should come up after you agreed to the license terms. Let me have a go at the key sequence: 1. If told to press a key to boot from CD, do that. 2. When the CD appears to no longer spin, press enter. 3. Press F8. 4. Press r. The rest I am not sure as I never repaired Windows XP; only did a fresh install. Good luck.
