Let's hope it does, but if not, I think what Mike suggested is the best solution.
He said to uncheck it in ms configuration on the startup page.
And after looking there, he's correct. I have several items unchecked and that being one of them, so that must have been where I disabled it.

Hi, Patricia,

I found HP updates in the programs menu and hit enter on it. Then I tabbed to the cancel button and hit enter. Then I tabbed to a dialog box that said "do you want to close the application". I hit enter on the yes button. Hopefully that took care of the problem.
