hi rosemary
Chris has just said that guide wont worry about what screen reader you are currently using
just turn it off then back on when you want to use it again

Hi, Yvonne,

In that case, maybe I won't try it out. I don't want to lose Jaws which is my default screen reader. I also have NVDA whichis a free screen reader.

hi rosemary
the 30 day trial is free but the full program certainly is not
it is a 3 figure number as far as i am aware
i know people that use and love it to bits but i am informed that it is
mainly for total beginners
those that can use jaws really have no need to use guide but some people
that try guide out may prefer it to jaws or windoweyes
although any reading voice has to be better than dec talk that is used on
windoweyes
well with the exception of Microsoft Sam that is
i would like to try it myself but am hesitating as to what it can do re my
jaws
if after 30 days the program stops working then fine
delete it and decide to buy or reject
however if it takes over the settings for jaws i may not be able to get jaws
back as the default reader
perhaps someone can rectify this for me

Hi, everyone,

I just learned about a new screen reader on another list. It's called
guide. I'm tempted to download it and try it out but is it free software
like NVDA is? Just wondering.

Rosemarie
