I'm with you on this. XP may be old but it still has plenty of life left in it. I suspect millions of customers all over the world will continue to use it long after MS ends support in 2014. So there is no rush to upgrade to Windows 7. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Why would you want to do that?  XP will be supported into 2014 and I am
sticking with it because it has been a super operating system for me.  One
of my nephews is the networking director of an important midwestern
university medical school and he has urged me to stick witih xp as long as I
