Message rules can only be set up for accounts which use the POP3 protocol to retreive messages. Most email services now use the IMAP protocol. This protocol stores messages on the server and synchronizes certain folders in your email client. This protocol works better for accounts that are accessed from more than one place, such as work computer, home computer, laptop, and phone. If you need to have separate suvvfolders for your Inbox, you will need to make sure that your account is configured for POP3.

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] having trouble setting up a message rule for thisgroup.

Hi All,
I am using windows live mail. I went to set up a message rule for this group so it will go into the folder I have selected. For the life of me, I can't make the messages go to that folder. I checked where the subject line contains specific words and copied [Blind-Computing and it didn't work. I tried checking the choice that said check the line that says to people and I put the address of the group in. What the heck do you hag to create a message rule for this group. What should I check, and what should I type. I usually don't hag this trouble when setting up message rules. I am using windows 7 WLM and jaws 12 on a 64 bit machine. Jim
