Hello there;

well I'm not sure which programs your trying to eliminate from your system tray;
however,
there are 3 ways of doing this.

the first way is;

start menu/programs/startup,
and see what is running in their,
if you find a program which you wish to remove, highlight the icon,
applications key, up arrow to delete, press enter,

the second way is,
go into your system tray, choose the program which you want remove from system tray, enter on icon, and see if there's options/setting not to have the program start when computer starts,

the third way is to go into msconfig
startup page, and uncheck the box, to have program start when computer is booted.

which program are you trying to remove?

HI there Yvonne,
I hate too many programs sitting in my tray as well. Often times, the programs allow you to remove by going into it's properties or settings and selecting remove from system tray.

Best Regards, Cornell
