hello there;
again, as I suggested,
go into your system tray,
choose the icon, enter, now, check to see if there's a options/settings,
which you can change the behavior, as in, not starting the program when you
start computer.
otherwise,
you may need to use the msconfig start page to change the startup items.

hello
it is the opposite that i am trying to do
this is take them out of the system tray so that they are not in the list
of items when i go to f11.
as there are so many i will list a few that i want to take out of the
system tray
hopefully the same procedure will apply to the remaining ones
1 malwarebytes database
2 sound effects
3 multimedia keyboard driver
4 multimedia mouse driver
log me in and online
volume
now if someone can do a step guide to taking these out i would be very
grateful
thank you
Yvonne

hello there;
here's another way of accomplishing what your wanting to do.
Putting icons back into the SystemTray.
Here are some steps I wrote quite a while ago, regarding this topic to
another list.
try these steps to get your safely remove hardware icon back into the
system tray.
1, start menu;
2, setting/control panel;
3, t= taskbar and start menu, press enter.
If your using Xp, you just need to tab until you hear,
hide inactive icons, the box should be unchecked, so press spacebar to
check
this box.
you will now see customize dialog button. The next 3 steps are for vista
users.
4, shift tab one time, you should hear,
taskbar tab.
5, right arrow until you hear;
Notification area tab.
6, tab one time you should hear;
Hide inactive icons this is unchecked, press spacebar to check.
7, tab enter on,
Icons customize....
8, now, down arrow until you hear,
safely remove hardware,
right arrow, a combo box will open,
down arrow to show.
9, now tab, and enter on okay.
this should get your icon back into the system tray.
these same steps will apply, if you want to remove a icon from your
system
tray.

Hello there;
well I'm not sure which programs your trying to eliminate from your
system tray;
however,
there are 3 ways of doing this.
the first way is;
start menu/programs/startup,
and see what is running in their,
if you find a program which you wish to remove, highlight the icon,
applications key, up arrow to delete, press enter,
the second way is,
go into your system tray, choose the program which you want remove from
system tray,
enter on icon, and see if there's options/setting not to have the
program start when computer starts,
the third way is to go into msconfig
startup page, and uncheck the box, to have program start when computer
is booted.
which program are you trying to remove?

HI there Yvonne,
I hate too many programs sitting in my tray as well. Often times, the
programs allow you to remove by going into it's properties or
settings and selecting remove from system tray.
Best Regards, Cornell
