Hi Margaret,
Are you having issues with the current version of Adobe that you are running?
If it is performing well for you as is,
my recommendation would be to leave it alone until there is a compelling reason to update.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Upgrading Adobe Reader 9 to 10

Good Morning All,

I have Adobe Reader 9.4.3 on my XP Home with SP3 machine and would like to upgrade to version 10 or whatever the latest version is that works with JAWS. JFW 9 and 10 are on the machine and I have a SMA for 11 if necessary.

Is the best way of doing it to use check for updates in the Adobe Reader help menu or to uninstall the existing program and to go to the Adobe accessibility site and get version 10 from there? IE 8 and Firefox 3.6.16 are both on the machine.

Any downloading and installation tips in addition to trying to keep a close eye out for the pesky Google stuff would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Margaret
