Hi Mark,

I haven't yet installed jaws 13. At work I use Jaws 12 and Word 2010. Times New Roman is in the font options, and all the attributes, including italics, work fine. I guess if you can't get the correct font, the italics probably won't matter, but what happens if you just select the text that needs to be in italics and hit control i?then check it with Jaws key f does jaws report the font is italicized or bold italicized? Can you just switch back to Jaws 12?

Good luck,
Shari

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Is it JAWS or MS Word?

Hi
In my university classes, I am required to write my papers in the font
times new roman, plain text, twelve point, black on white. Well this hasn't been a problem until yesterday. I went to check my font and found that times
new roman was not an option in MS Word. This is the program I have been
using all along. Then when I went to change a section that the university
specifically wants italicized the only option it offers is italic bolted.
How do I get back to times new roman and standard italic? I am not sure if this is a trouble in MS Word 2010 or a problem in JAWS 13 beta. Any help is
appreciated.

God bless,
Mark
