Hi Brad; I am running XP with no ribbons. When you say, " bullets option in the home tab of the ribbon ," exactly where are you referring to? Or, is this something that will be only in MS Word 2007 & not found in Word2002? Thanks much, take care. Mike

If you do an alt + H then tab down to "bullets" then press space it will take you into a list of bullets. There you can arrow up and down through the options. The checkmark is there.
