What do you mean "not possible"?

Sure it's possible.

First you open the mono file and copy its contents to the clipboard.
Then you create a new file with two channels.
Then you copy the contents of the clipboard into your new file, and, voila! 
there's your stereo file.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to creat a stereo file
from a mono file using gold wave?  I am running XP pro and jaws12 gold wave
5.58.  Any help would grately be appreciated.
