My Toshiba laptop doesn't seem to work the volume with the function key but does work as Russ indicated with the volume control on the system tray.

Hi Russ,

Thank you very much for your reply. There is a down arrow on the 3 key& an
up arrow on the 4 key on the number row above the main keyboard. What I'm
thinking is that a person might use the FN key in conjuntion with these 2
keys but, since I'm not familiar with using the FN key I am wondering if
there are volume control keystrokes that are used with the FN key. This FN
key, I'm talking about is located to the right of the left side control key.
Thanks again, take care.
Mike

Mike, I have a Toshiba but am not certain if this will help, but here goes
   anyway.

   1. Press insert F11 to bring up the system tray.
   2. At the bottom you may see the volume control.
   3. Enter here twice to find a volume mixer.]
   4. I just up/down arrow to change volume.

   Sure hope this helps.

   Hi All,

A friend has a TOSHIBA satellite L755 laptop computer, running Windows7
Home Premium, Jaws13& the volume is very low. I have no laptop keyboard
skills& I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what keystrokes I need to use
to increase / decrease volume. This is a new computer as well& I need to
Tandem up on this computer with her. All help will be greatly
appreciated.
She does know her way around the keyboard a little bit but, has no clue
about volume keystrokes. Thank you all very much. Take care.
   Mike
