You need to select which icons you want to show in the Notification Area.

1. Press the Windows Key, followed by the Escape key. This places
focus on the Start button.

2. Press Alt + Enter to bring up the Taskbar Properties dialog.

3. Hit Tab until you hear Notification Area. If there is a checkbox
for "Always show all Notifications and icons on the Task bar" uncheck it.

4. Hit Tab again to get to the Customize button. Press Space to
activate.

5. Hit Tab to get to the list of Notification items. Each has a combo
box on the right side. Simply use the up and down arrows for the
different hide and show options. If you want it to always show up when
pressing JAWS + F11, select "Show icon and notification".

6. Press Tab to get to the next item. When done, continue to press Tab
to the OK button. Again, press Tab to the OK button.

Now the notifications should work as expected! Additionally, you should
not be bothered by notifications you do not want. Note, this does not
disable or stop them from working.
