That's kind of strange. Press Alt + enter on the folder to determine the
size. Also, is this the only folder on the drive, or are there many other
files and folders on the drive? It could be a file yu backed up from a
program which is used for some yet unknown reason. Are we dealing with an
external drive for storage, or is this a drive that is holding your OS?
At this point hopefully someone else will help us because I've never come
across such a file. :-)

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Administrator Permission
When I opened the root folder and tried to open the folders inside, I was
told that I didn't have permission. It went through a long process
counting percentages and took me to a Security page and I got a sighted
person to try and click Allow under Full Control and it was not available.
I turned on Hidden Files and no change that I could see. Turned them back
off and still no change.
If this is a recycle bin, how would a person access it to use it? Should I
just not worry about this and assume that somehow I missed seeing it
before now or maybe some update to Windows made it show up?
Thanks for your help.

If you look in these folders with numbers you may find the same files
you've
deleted to the recycle bin.
To hide or unhide system files in W7:
1. go to search edit field and type this:
folder options
2. press control tab once to go to the view tab.
3. tab once or twice or until you get to a tree view. Down arrow about 6
times to "Hidden files and folders."
4. Make your adjustments using the spacebar. Answer any pop up question
that
might appear.
5. Tab to Ok and press enter. Press Ok on any other dialogues.

The folder is c01a5cda79c2d8c1c4 and it is filled with folders with
numbers for names and one labeled graphics. If I need to check Hidden
Files, please tell me how to do that.

Please post the name of the folder. It might be a folder associated with
the recycle bin for that drive. Turn hidden files on and off to determine
if
indeed it's a hidden recycle bin file or no. If you have all hidden files
to
show you will end up with an additional folder in any storage drive.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Administrator Permission
I have a folder on an external hard drive that appeared when I attempted
to access a website. I do not know what it is and do not want it. When I
try to delete the folder, I get a message saying Administrator Permission
is required. I am under the impression that I am using an Administrator
level User Account because I can install and remove other programs in
this account. How do I force the deletion of this folder? I have cleaned
up some old files and really want to defrag my external drive but want
this gone first.
Thank you.
