Hi Steve,

I am going to give you 2 sets of steps. The first will be for opening an
attachment & the second will be for saving an attachment. I just sent
myself an attachment from my XP Pro computer to my Windows7 computer running
Windows Mail, yes, Windows Mail, not Windows Live Mail. Running Windows
Mail with Windows7 can be done, and is done by many people.

#1, Opening An Attachment;

1. Open the email.
2. Press Insert + the letter A, make sure that the attachment is
highlighted, & press enter on it.
3. She might get a message stating, " Mail Attachment Security Warning, do
you want to open this file?" This is normal so, not to worry. Now, she
should, shift + tab, 1 time to Open, & press the spacebar, Now this
attachment should open & play if it's a sound file or if it's a picture or
something she should be able to view if her computer is set-up for the
correct file associations.

#2, Saving An Attachment
1. Open the email.
2. Press Alt + F, for the file menu.
3. Arrow down to save attachments....., & press enter.
4. Now, she will tab to the save button & press enter / spacebar. By
default the attachment should go into her My Documents / Documents folder &
she can navigat to this folder to play / open it there.

Steve, if possible, another thing you can try is doing a Tandem session with
her. This way you can be showing her & explaining things to her at the same
time.

Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike
