Hi Mark,
You might wish to try NVDA, a free and open-source screen reader, that
is free for everyone to use. I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but it
has similar functionality to Jaws, although it does lack scripting
capabilities, but it is still a really great screenreader. As an added
plus, there is a portable version available so you could run it from a
USB stick if you do not wish to install it at your job.

is the website URL.
Hope this helps!

Hi
There is a possibility I may get an office job. One of the hurtles I
will have to get past is needing a screen reading program for the computer.
They are running windows 7. I know that JAWS does a wonderful job. However,
it is a non-profit place and they don't have that type of money. So, I am
wondering what alternatives I can offer them? Is narrator sufficient for MS
Word ?
God bless,
Mark
