Hi
I get tired of trying to remember all the different exit commands from
different programs. Also, I always want to land back on the desktop. So, for
every program I create an exit script, and tie it to the short cut key
control + shift + X. I pasted the contents of my exit script for MS Outlook
below.
{alt+f4}
Pause ()
TabKey ()
Pause ()
TabKey ()
Pause ()
TabKey ()
{Alt+Y}
Pause ()
{windows+m}
Now, I have no idea why I had to add the tab commands to make the script
work. However, As long as it exits the program, and sets me on the desktop I
don't really care. Smile. If you are interested in making your own exit
command keys, or other short cut keys, feel free to use my code as a
starting point.
Happy coding.
God bless,
Mark

That is true, I've done it in the past.

Hi Mike,
You could possibly do this through JAWS scripting, if you are using the
JAWS for windows screen reader. However, although there is a list for JAWS
script writers, they prefer that one has some fairly advanced skills before
one is allowed to ask questions on their list. Evidently my skills did not
cut it. Smile. Still changing key stroke assignments using JAWS scripting
might be a fun project if you have extra time to work on the project.
God bless,

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Keyboard Re-Mapping Program
Hi all,
I would like to incorporate the Windows key into my shortcut keystrokes.
What I want to do is take the control / shift & control / Alt keys out of my
keystrokes & use the Windows key with the Alt & Control keys instead. Does
anyone know of any programs that will allow me to do this without sighted
help? Or, can anyone offer any helpful tips on how to do this? I have a
program called WinKey but, it requires sighted help. All help & suggestions
will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, take care.
Mike
