Hi Fred,
Well, I am always glad to help out. The main concept behind flexible
web is that one can train JAWS to ignore unwanted information on specific
pages, or that you can skip directly to the section that you always want to
start reading at. One good example of a page with a lot of extra content is
the MSN search page.
The one place I ran in to trouble is that one must explain to the
program that the settings apply to a specific page, and not just to all web
pages. After I figured that out things went much better.
I hope this helps.
God bless,
Mark

Dear Fred,
I first heard of flexible web on an FS podcast. I believe the access
key is JAWS key + space bar, followed by the letter X. You first need to be
positioned on the heading or other attribute of a webpage that you wish to
modify. When you press the key combination mentioned, a menu will open
showing all the available options for that item. One very nice thing is to
be able to block all ads. Another is to be able to start reading at a
particular point on a given page.
God bless,
Mark
