I plugged a different set of speakers directly into my main computers onboard soundcard, bypassing the audio part of the KVM switch &, I get no sound from either operating system. Well, I don't have any sound with either operating system! The Windows7 won't even play systems sounds through the USB headset but, the XP system does. Is it possible the onboard soundcard died? I tried, with my wife's sighted help, to see if anything was muted in the control panel / Sounds & Audio Devices but, everything looked normal to me. I went to my other computer via my KVM switch & the speakers work with that computer. I can't get any sounds to play from my main computer at all! I am currently using my main computer with a USB headset. Any advice or suggestions on what to check would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all very much. Take care.
