Your problem might be that the favorite is being stored under another user:
for example, "all users" instead of whatever you log on as. I've seen this
happen, but it's been a long time ago.

Why not search your c drive for something that might show up in your
favorites. If the site shows up, see where it is located.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi Tom,

I wonder if the power outages may have damaged your computer or computer
programs in some way. You could try uninstalling IE7 & reinstalling it to
see if that helps. Or, upgrade to IE8. Unfortunately I couldn't find any
direct download links for IE7 to send if you wanted to uninstall &
reinstall

IE7 or upgrade to IE8. You might try doing a system restore back to a
time

before the power outages started.
Take care.

mike,
i don't think i explained my problem very well. i can save sites to
favorites, but in the past few weeks, we have had numerous power
outages, and of course, i have to re-boot my pc, and it was after this
1st re-boot, that i noticed that all my favorites were gone, and even
when i save them again, the same thing happens after a re-boot, and
it's very frustrating

Hi Tom,

You can look in your system tray to see what programs are starting when
Windows starts. The keystroke is, Insert + F11. A cleaning program like
CCleaner is a third party program that you would have had to install.
Cleaning programs like this are programs that will clean various things
from

the computer depending on how you have the program configured. It sounds
like you may have a setting in Favorites or Internet Explorer set to not
save favorites but, I don't know what setting that would cause the
problem
you're having. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Take care.

Hi Tom,

Do you have a cleaning program like CCleaner or something like it,
running
at start-up that could be deleting your shortcuts?

On comboboxes, I use the keystrokes Alt + down arrow to open & Alt + up
arrow to close them.

Hope this helps.
Take care.

For about the past week, my work PC has startted erasing each site I
have saved in Favorites after I re-boot. There are also sites where
combo boxes won't work right after hitting Enter. I'm using Jaws8, on
Win. XP Pro, and IE 7. Anyone have a clue?
