In the data base for the Summit bar code scanner and in other scanners such as the quantum usb scanner, Schwans bar codes are a part of the database. However Schwans has changed their bar coded from black to a light blue. What happens is that the scanner does not recognize (and cannot interpret) the bar code. If you have 2 types of meal kits or omelets which come in identical bags or boxes according to touch, you can't tell what the item is. Please contact the corporate office on the www.schwans.com to register a complaint. If the bar codes can't be recognized they do no good being in the database and inaccessible. Thank you, Julie
