Schwans is a company many blind people purchase from. Schwans is included in the database of the Envision America Summit bar code scanner and in Quantum USB scanners or other scanning software. However Schwans has changed their bar coded from black to a light blue. What happens is that the scanner does not locate nor recognize (and cannot interpret) the bar code. If you have 2 types of meal kits or omelets which come in identical bags or boxes according to touch, you can't tell what the item is. Please contact the corporate office on the www.schwans.com to register a complaint. If the bar codes can't be recognized they do no good being in the database and inaccessible.
