ok, just checked it and it's working fine, but...
are you just arrowing down to the link and entering on it, or are you moving
to the first t in the URL and then hitting enter?

most of the windows clients now need you to move a letter into the address
in order to work.

here is a copy of the URL as it comes to I.E. 9 when I use the alt d command
to get the current address:
http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com/

or, as always copy the address out and use the open dialog of i.E. or
Firefox to open it.

take care,
inthane

all this is covered in my windows 7 helpful hints zip package on my grab bag
site:
http://grab bag.alacorncomputer.com

unzip the downloaded folder of hints, go into it and hit I for installation

I don't remember the screens in the setup, but they can be done with
narrator, and you hit windows key and u, then alt and n if narrator does not
start at that point.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Initial setup of new computer

Hi,

I have a new windows7 64 bits computer ready to fire up. As you know, Jaws
is not installed yet.
My question is this. Can I being blind do the initial setup using narrator?
If so, since I never use narrator, can someone give me some guidance on how
to use the narrator in a windows 7 OS environment? I do have some basic
ideas what to expect, but sighted help is not possible even though my wife
could be of some help. She is very reluctant since she is afraid of screwing
something up.

I would like to be able to do the setup with narrator so I can get to the
point to install Jaws. If the opinion from the list don't think that this is
possible, then I will have to call someone to do the setup for me.

Thanks for any advice and suggestions. I appreciate any help that I can get.
Take care.

Lennie
