The exact wording is "copy public link"; when you enter that it copies the
actual link to the clipboard, then you can paste it wherever you'd like to
share it. It's not so necessary to zip the files first though some recommend
it with MP3s as they tend to open when doubleclicked (pressed enter on); in
this case if you want to rather save rightclick/save via the context menu
instead.

Hi All,

I am trying to share a file from my public folder but, when I select the
file & go into the Dropbox sub menues I don't have an option for to share
public link.  What are the proper steps to share a public link in Dropbox
