Lol. You're correct about the technical stuff not exactly being germane, but it's fun to read about what's possible. So I really don't mind learning about things like the fact that I could, if I chose, sideload apps like Tintin+. And I don't know whether you could put Linux on the Braillenote or not. I THINK I heard that Android runs on a Linux kernel. But don't quote me on that. So you might be able to put Linux on one. That might void the one-year waranty that new units come with. So keep that in mind if you get a new unit.
That's not exactly germane to the conversation :)
Heather has the device and client she wants to be using, and the question is whether or not she's able to get connected. Going into technical tangents of what's possible with the device, while totally cool (I'd be a lot more interested in a Braillenote touch if I could load Linux on it), is not going to help her figure out why her current client is refusing to enter text correctly.
