Yes, I agree with you about it being the user's responsibility to keep up with their keys. I did have my keys backed up, but before I reinstalled Windows last month, I added new backups to the ones I already had. To make a long story short, it didn't record right, and I lost almost every thing I had. The computer said it was backed up, but the next day, when I started to put the stuff back on my system, there was nothing there. I should have just put my new things on a separate disk and I would not have lost my keys. There's no logical reason for this to happen, but my computer was doing many strange things that week. If I didn't have enough sense to save the keys, I'd bite the bullet, say it was my fault, and buy it again. You certainly have the right to refuse replacements, but you might consider one per game and then let that be that. ----- Original Message ----- From: Draconis Entertainment To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 12:51 PM Subject: Re: audyssey: thoughts on Draconis
Hi MOnica and all, I don't believe we've received any messages from you. However, whether or not to offer registration key replacements is currently under consideration by Draconis management. It should be the user's responsibility to maintain backups of their keys. Few if any mainstream companies offer key replacements when the keys are not hardware bound. We should have news on the final decision regarding this in the next few weeks. However, to be fair, I've been having trouble with my wireless connection, so they may not have gotten my messages. I'm getting rid of the wireless on Thursday, but I think I'll write to them from our main computer and see what happens. As far as the changes to the games, I don't know yet. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Charles Rivard > To: audyssey gamers list ; accessible games discussion > Sent: Sunday, December 18, 2005 9:04 AM > Subject: audyssey: thoughts on Draconis > > > What do you think about the changes to the games that are now being provided by > > www.draconisentertainment.com > > Change Reaction > DynaMan > ESP WhoopAss > Monkey Business > Aliens in the Outback > ESP Pinball Classic > Pinball Xtreme > and Ten Pin Alley. > Don't mention the fact that scores cannot be sent in, because the score server is still being vastly improved and will be out in the future. If you haven't checked them out, go for it.
