out of 4 window air conditioners, I have two which I can operate. I do this by just unplugging the machine to clean the filters . However two newer ones I can still clean the pop out filter but the newer ones are programable so I do not make any adjustments, especially with the hot weather which has found its way to the Northeast. I might also say, If I had the money and a better brain at the time I would have opted for central air which my furnace is set up for. Now that I said all of that, how many of you are operating air conditioners which are more than 10 years old. .I'dfinish by asking sighted folks in my house to not to touch any settings on these older machines as I always know what is set to what I want. thanks.Lee
