Robert, My good friend, I am old and have endured many hours in training to be a "good" husband. This training has been applied by more than one wife o I feel that I can speak with considerable authority on these exact issues. (LOL) While we have all heard the expression "What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander". This is an old and wise adage - but - what you seem to fail to realize is that what is good for the Gander is not necessarily good for the Goose. As an example, it is important for the Gander to put his things away because this teaches obedience to the Goose. It is a proven fact that Obedient ganders spend far less time in the dog house or on the park bench than do the Cavalier Ganders who will do what they will do totally ignoring the pleadings of the Goose. Another piece of reality is the fact that there is neither a Ministry of Justice or a Ministry of Fairness.
Now as for the other issue it is important for you to keep firmly in mind the fact that it is not "your" valueable antiques which are cluttering your abode, it is *her* junk. Just look at the evidence already given on this list. Very few blind men complain about the space taken and inconvenience caused by *their* valuable antiques and priceless keepsakes. (ROFL) You see my friend, you are in despirate need of proper Gander Guidance. Think now, just ask the Lady of the House.. (LOL) Cy, the well trained Ancient Okie... P.S. Do you get your coffee in bed each morning? -----Original Message----- From: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robert J. She is the pack rat. I would much rather collect space. On a serious note I find it very distressing that she continues to add to the clutter and guess what I am the one told well put it away. There is no such thing in our house as away any more. All the closets and all the shelves and cabinets are stuffed. Am I wrong in thinking that this senario is quite unjust. Do you think the issue here is a blind sighted thing or simply a pack rat/space rat thing, or perhaps a bit of both?
