Hi Jewel, I'm not sure what they mean by a lifetime warrantee. Sears has such a warrantee and anytime I've taken a broken handtool back to them they've simply replaced it. I'm not sure how they'd figure out if I bought the tool so I guess it means for the life of the tool. I'll try to remember to ask at Harbor Freight what they mean by lifetime warrantee the next time I'm there.
