I tried a search on snopes.com but all I came up with is the legend that it 
causes MS and lupus.  Both false.  Maybe this one is so new they haven't had 
time to post anything about it yet.  I suspect it's another urban legend. 
The warning not to get it on your hands kind of gives it away.  People who 
think, or want others to think, it's dangerous to eat or drink would say 
don't get it on your hands.
