We have had a Stihl leaf blower for a long time, but we rarely use it. We have a large yard and a LOT of trees. When I did use it, although it is only about 7 pounds, it get real heavy in a short time. The gas fumes got to me too. For me, it's easier and faster to get the mower out and take care of them that way. Make sure the machine you buy is light weight. Also, don't even bother trying to blow leaves on a windy day. The wind always blows in the opposite direction of where you want to blow the leaves ... no matter what direction that might be.
