John,
Interesting, the unit I have has 12 and 24 inch extension rods. It was
invented at Overbrook in the very late 1940s. A friend of mine who went to
that school in early 1950 made them.
I did not know that there was a similar product on the market. I wanted to
have mine duplicated so that I could send the original to the school for
their museum, but it would be very expensive. I did make some photographs
for them.
Do you know how much the rotomatic costs and is it 3/8 all thread? If it is
not too expensive and does the same thing I would consider getting one and
donating the original to the school.

Sounds close to a rotomatic. The rotomatic come with 3 extensions,
6, 12, and 18-inch. Also, one can order the extensions separately.
