Mickey, your assumptions are correct.  I have to make it 5 feet long 
to allow the legs to fold against the table.  I don't have a good way 
of handling plywood sheets, yet, so I think I'll have to go with 1 by 
12 pieces.  I get my wood from Lowe's, and they will cut the 5 foot 
lengths so they will fit into the car trunk.
