Ron, I am beginning to understand what you are talking about with respect to brewing component availability and cost effectiveness. I am about 125 miles north of Las Vegas, probably the best place to go for hands on products and equipment. I also am still using a single fermentation process and mixes for the most part. Are you aware of any good recipes that will assist a willing if not terribly accomplished amiture brewer move to the next level?

I must admit I am a lazy brewer using prepared malt extracts and hopped malt extracts along with added hops, mostly pellitized hops. My preference is for dark ales, porters and stouts and occasionally a dark beer. I have had good luck with both a single fermentation method and a two stage fermentation approach. I generally have had excellent luck with only one batch which acquired a yeast infection turning the product into something one couldn't or at least probably shouldn't drink. rd To listen to the show archives go to link http://acbradio.org/handyman.html or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday The Pod Cast address for the Cooking In The Dark Show is. http://www.gcast.com/u/cookingindark/main.xml Visit The Blind Handy Man Files Page To Review Contributions >From Various List Members At The Following address: http://www.jaws-users.com/handyman/ Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com/ For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
