This is not an endorsement on any phone. I believe the ones in the gega hertz
range do work better. Now one thing you might try before investing in another
phone is to get some insulated wire. Even the old enameled wire will work,
doorbell or zip cord. String a length of it probably best if you can get at
least 50 foot of it outside. Then at the phone strip the insulation off the
wire and wrap at least four or five turns around the antenna. Hopefully the
antenna is metal. So give that a try. cheaper than a new phone if you have a
chunk of wire laying around.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] advice on cordless phones

We have a cordless phone that works fine in the house but if I take it out to
the storage room or work shop or a short distance from the house it has
terrible reception and a lot of static. If anyone has any ideas on which phones
have the best reception for the longest distances I would appreciate hearing
from you. Thanks Glenn,

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Follow-up To Quartz VS Propane Heater

  Hi all,

Thanks for all your responses to my query about quartz vs propane heaters.
I decided to go with a propane heater and I picked one up at a reasonable
price on eBay. It's a 20K unit and I've got it connected to a 20 pound
tank. It's out in my two-car garage and it does a great job of keeping the
entire garage quite warm. Again, thanks for everyone's advice. It helped a
great deal in the final decision.

  Take care,
  Ed Przybylek
